Novak Djokovic

Considering that he has won the most tournaments comparing to all other Serbian tennis players, Novak Djokovic is the best tennis player from this small country and currently ranked second in the world.He has been a professional player since 2003. His biggest success is AO title and winning Tennis Masters Cup.Also, Novak is the youngest player ever who reached all four Grand Slam semi-finals. He reached US Open final and twice semi-final at RG and Wimbledon.Also he played in 11 finals of Master tournaments and won 5 of them - Miami, Montreal, Indian wells, Rome and Paris. He grabbed bronze medal at Olympic games 2008 in Beijing.

Novak Djokovic was born on 22.6.1987. in Belgrade as the oldest son of father, Srdjan and mother, Dijana. He has two younger brothers- Marko (born in 1991.) and Djordje (born in 1995). When he was 4 year-old boy he took the tennis racket for the first time in the tennis camp on Kopaonik. As 12 year-old boy he started training tennis at Nikola Pilic academy. Currently he lives in Monte Carlo, in Monaco. He is coached by Slovakian tennis playe- Mariyan Vaida. Novak speaks English, German and italian language.He is dating Jelena Ristic. He often imatates his fellow players, and many of those are his friends.First time he imatated them during the training in RG 2007, and the first imatations in public he perfomed after he beat Carlos Moya in US Open when he imatated Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal.


In 2001. Djokovic was a three times champion of Europe in single, doubles and in team competition. In the next season he became the best 16 year-old tennis player in the Europe. After he played five ITF tournaments he reached fortieth place in the junior list. As a junior he had 35 wins and 11 losses in singles and 20 wins and 5 losses in doubles.
